were in Phase 1?
GMP's website mentions this. I don't know how they label these
phases, or what the significance of Phase 2 or 2a or 2b for that
matter is. I know there's a possible Phase 3 too. . .will there be a
Phase 103?
As for giving it time. Like countless others, I have given 25 years of
my life to this disease and all it's horrendous aspects. There is such a
thing as giving a reasonable amount of time. But when there is ample
evidence to suggest that the time already taken has been
unneccessarily long because of a corrupt or ineffective system, then
a request for "just a little more time" (just another 5 years). .becomes
unbearable.
I too hold great hope for Dr. Vinik's research, and I know he has to
operate within that system to bring his discoveries to fruition.
However, I think that INGAP should be shared with other researchers
around the world so that they can do concurrent studies in countries
with less ridiculous trial requirements. One may say that we ought
not take away Dr. Vinik's, Dr. Rosenberg's, GMP's right to sovereign
financial harvest concerning INGAP, but I think that it is criminal not
to share all aspects of such a major discovery as soon as possible.
