Can anyone tell me where I can find more info on type 2 diabetes? I am living in France (English speaking) and have after numerous test been told I am suffering from diabetes, given a finger pricker, glucosesticks, and a "regime" to follow.I have no idea what my levels should be, when to test, what carbs apart from pasta, rice i can eat, is it ok to eat all types of veg? What amount of cereal I should be having, how much milk etc, as the French obviously eat very differently! and the "regime" is designed for thier eating habits not the UKs! I was told by the Dr I am borderline medication and have 3months on the diet to see if it will be sufficient to control it, obviously i do not want to go on medication if |I can help it, but at the moment I am not feeling any better, how long does it take to get results? I have been following the regime to the letter for the last 5 weeks.
Can anyone point me in the right directions for more info, i have enjoyed reading this forum and I wish you all well,
Thanks for your time
