Besides being pissed, you are also an ignorant mystificator!
1. I never suggested that I am the only avenue to a cure, or that I have one.
2. Even in your ignorance, you should know by know that we have been working continuously to train other centers to learn the technologies we develop, from coast to coast, including the Harvard-JDF Center and the new NIH Branch on Transplantation and Autoimmunity headed by Dr. Harlan. All of these major centers are receiving equipment and direct training from us.
3. I spent a lot of time and energies trying to break the barriers of communication between scientists, and train others on everything we know, rather than trying to keep our own technological advantage within our institute. All my colleagues in the US and elsewhere are my witness. Therefore I am replaceable now, as I was before
4. I am not arrogant, I just had it with people like you who insult scientists and do not contribute to the process in any constructive way. I am not going to take insults smiling.
5. If I thought that you are representative of patients with type 1 diabetes, I would work on another disease, so please do not refer to yourself as "one of us" referring to the millions of patients with Type 1 diabetes, because you could insult millions of wonderful people out there.
