I definitely want my son to try it for 3 days. I'd love to see how much his bgs change - especially while he's sleeping. Since we only use one kind of insulin, Humalog, in the pump, I think this can help us establish and "tweak" the basals... I think it's a step in the right direction.

I am concerned about the fact that it's interstitial fluid glucose rather than blood glucose and there is supposedly a lag time between the two. I hope that they can account for the difference accurately?.

Unfortunately the sensor is a "needle" and not a teflon canula like he uses now with his pump. Looks like he's going to get an N64 cartridge to try it out for mom!
