On Friday, February 26, 1999, members of the the Clinical Chemisty and Clinical Toxicology Devices Panel of the FDA Medical Devices Advisory Committee unanimously recommended approval of MiniMed's Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (CGMS). The FDA usually follows panel recommendations, which means that the CGMS could be approved for use in the United States soon..........
