Stacy, writing to Ann Landers is a good idea. As you say, she has a huge audience beyond us cyberheads. She could tell millions about islet transplantation without immunosuppression, the only technology that offers any hope of curing diabetes in the near term. When those millions hear how this promise is being ignored and sidelined by the NIH, ADA and others, the pressure could be considerable.
