I have written a letter to Ann Landers about diabetes and diabetes awareness. At the end I asked her to ask her readers to send her their personal experiences with diabetes and why they want a cure. There is a strong possibility that the ADA may also send a letter. I am asking everyone on this forum to please participate BEFORE the letter, hopefully, is published. Please write your own letters and send them to Ann Landers, 435 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611. I am hoping that if she gets lots of letters up front that she'll be more inclined to participate in this campaign. I asked that she run my letter in November, so please hurry. Sorry to have left this to the last minute, but I just thought of it.
I am convinced that if we are going to create a public outcry for a cure, we must take these issues out of the narrow world of diabetes organizations, internet, etc and air them in the mainstream press, TV, radio, etc. The entire world reads Ann Landers. I think it's too good an opportunity to miss and certainly worth a try. Hope you all think so too! Thanks in advance.
