I know that it isn't a cure but if it works it is interesting to me as the mother of a four year old type 1 diabetic. This could be a great interem measure until islet cell transplantation could become available to children. From what I have been told the transplants wouldn't be available to children for a while after they were proven safe etc. with adults. This kind of thing would lessen his discomfort until the real thing were available to the very young. I hope it works and is made available soon.
