I continuously obsess about the viability of iselt cell transplantation. With two young children who are both diabetic I feverently hope it will work This is the reason I posted so many comments about the funding of Encelle when I first started following this forum. The idea that the possibility of a cure might be dashed by lack of funding really upset me (and still does). I really wanted to make some contribution other than talking/whining. My wife and I were out doing holiday shopping today and she said "I really feel like I should spoil them now because they may not survive." I am more optomistic than this but I think that all of us parents of diabetic children walk around with this horrible fear. I think Sandra does and I think Charlie L and Melissa do as well. I regard a continuous monitor/pump system as a reasonably viable "Plan B" and I simply feel that both deserve funding.
