I have a 9 years old daughter who was diagnosed last September. She is in her honeymoon period now. I don't understand this honeymoon thing. Why the pancreas (after the crisis) suddenly starts to produce insulin ?
It looks like there is a start of beta cells recovery.
I read that givining insulin even it looks that there is no need to, prolongs the honeymoon so maybe the pancreas needs a COMPLETE rest by giving a little bit of insulin overdose for recovery even taking rhe risk of hypoglycemia.
I don't take answers like " It's just a break that the pancreas gives us" etc
Have there been enough studies and research about honeymoon ?
