> Once again, I'm sorry, but YOU ARE WRONG. Dr. Faustman and Dr. Nathan are NOT ALLOWED to release the results until publication.
As an example of another group which did publish their results, consider this Rituximab paper:
Published in November 2009 in the New England Journal of Medicine, one of the formost medical journals in the world, and one with a very long lead time and a strong embargo policy.
But in June 2009, 6 months before this official publication, the same author presents their data at ADA 69!
Here are the two references http://www.cds.org.cn/xshy/UploadFiles_1595/200906/ADA2009.pdf and http://www.contentnejmorg.zuom.info/cgi/content/abstract/361/22/2143
Obviously, Dr. Faustman could do the same thing if she wanted (and if she had data that ADA would accept). Repeating that she can not, even in all caps, does not make it true.
Listen, if you really think that Dr. Faustman's data is embargoed due to pending publication, then I have two simple, common sense questions:
1. Why don't they just say that in their press release? It would make the press release stronger.
2. What publication has accepted it, and is causing the embargo?
> Yes, Dr. Nathan and Dr. Faustman are using the scientific results from the specific designed blood assays to determine which assays will be used for phase II.
An obvious question then is why not say so in the press release. But let me ask you this: what if they never publish their "killer" T-cell data. Now now, not in 3 months, not in 6 months, not a year from now. Would that convince you that this experiment was a complete failure? How long will you wait for that data? And, will you donate in the meantime?
