I have had two and am considering a third. I'm glad you asked the question which i was wondering. My 1st transplant was july 1, 2004. I was off insulin after two days. My 2nd transplant was July 2, 2008. I had been off insulin for almost 6 years. I started insulin April this year and they want me to have a third. I am in Vancouver.
