Has anyone here undergone a human islet transplant?

Or pancreas transplant? If so, could you please share your experience. My main questions concern drug side effects and efficacy of the transplant itself. Any and all that you can share is welcome.

I'd love to hear from any Canadians who have had the Edmonton Protocol if possible.
