My 2 cents on the topic: Support by laymen alone just won't work. It like the crowd that hates vaccines, or hormones in milk. They are easily dismissed as the loony fringe.

What's needed is a collection of endocrinologists that have no stake in the company to stand together behind it. Only something of that kind will give it creditability. Now, if each and every person on this forum made a point of fomenting an interest in LCT, and made a point of discussing LCT when they met annually with their DR. (especially if there was a web site that could be a focal point of mutual communication), then we would have planted a real seed. The site should be very professional to attract their attention.

BTW, jdrf $ is generally tainted $. The receiving co. is often required to sell away some ownership when funds are accepted. It's my understanding that jdrf $ has not been asked for by LCT, and isn't wanted now that $ with no strings attached is pouring in. So, every piece of good funding news can be taken on it's own, without mutating into an unproductive jdrf hate-fest. Remember, you can attract more bees with honey than vinegar (translation: Use your effort to expound on the virtues of LCT, not on the flaws of the non-LCT). IMHO, I suspect that all of the whining on this forum tends to limit professional participation here; one never hears Dr.s rambling away like that, I suspect it's repugnant to them.
