Of course LCT's encapsulated beta cells prevent hypoglycemic reactions, just as islets in a non-diabetic human prevent hypoglycemic reactions. The encapsulated islets are alive and continuously sense blood glucose and cut back on insulin production when blood glucose returns to normal. Encapsulated pig islets will perform just like human islets.
