The only news I have seen about Smartinsulin is promotional.. you know the routine, "3 to 5 years", "with adequate financial backing", and the usual empty promises and scamming for funding. Nothing about clinical trials.
If you want news about real progress there is only one game in town and that is Living cell Technologies who are now in clinical trials in two countries (or is it 3?) and who have improved glucose control in real human beings, not mice, without lifelong toxic drugs or any adverse effects. But you will never hear that from JDRF or DRI who have ignored LCT as if it doesn't exist.
