INGAP was found/developed from a model of adenocarcinoma (duct cell tumor) of the pancreas, very different from an insulinoma, (endocrine cell tumor).
In all of the initial studies there has been no evidence of insulinomas nor hypoglycemia. Doesn't mean that it's impossible for an insulinoma to occur, but that it has yet to be seen and most likely won't be any more prevalent than in the background population.
