I agree Katerina, its unfortunately not a perfect world and this proposal from LCT is not a complete solution.
For a younger T1 probably worthwhile to keep it in standard intense insulin therapy mode until more experience is acquired also from the initial LCT trials. For T1s with already some level of complications and potentially less sensitivity to going low even the 50% reduction in swings/lows would be worth a lot, if not at least to delay further decay just some years further into the future. For some I would not be surprised that just getting a stable HbA1c at 7 would mean no further worsening of any complication(s) at all.
