Sorry Katerina, the two last points highlighted by Dr. Elliott is giving us exactly that (elimination/reduction of highs and lows).
Quote:
3) major lessening of severe hypoglycemia.
4) reduction of swings of blood glucose by at least 50%.

For a diabetic type 1 today, the insulin shot in itself is not the big problem. You list yourself 'the problem' of dealing with diabetes, so what do you exactly mean by that, if not related to the highs/lows and short/longterm complications? For parents to newly diagnosed T1 minors I understand additional concerns may hit high on the priority list. ;o)
And any comparison to the rough therapy options we had 40+ years ago helps no newcomers. All actually making it more sad that we still have no answer to our shared longings...

But as I read the proposal here from LCT, that theraphy would offer a big moderator to the rough insulin regime that we are slaves of today. By removing a majority of the bg swings, result is also mood stabilization and energy surplus that would help to tremendiously increase quality of life for many many diabetics (and their relatives ;o).
