While I think we all agree that euglycemia with no injected insulin would be ideal, most of us would gladly take ANYTHING that reduces the swings and improves the quality (and duration) of life.

It's the improved quality of life, the burden lifted, and knowing that you are healthier while ironically doing less for once.

This disease threatens my life every minute and will continue to do so for as long as I suffer with it. I might die young suddenly, or I might die in prolonged agony blind on dialysis after a few decades of highs and lows (literally and figuratively).

I would pay pretty much any reasonable price offered to have a chance at a normal life, or even a life period.
