A consideration that may not necessarily be fully appreciated by those w/o T1DM (myself included), is the difference in the quality of life that "modest(ly) successful" ECP offers. Can you put a price tag on quality of life improvements? If so, I would say most would agree that small improvements would be worth alot. That would include improvements for caregivers as well (ie, peace of mind).
