Andra, NPH & humalog is the only insulin my daughter has ever used. I don't really see the fluctuations and the need to "feed the insulin" as I hear a lot of people comment about.
I think, that after 5 years of realizing how her body reacts to the NPH when it comes to excercise, food & illness it makes it a lot easier to adjust her dosages accordingly.
Since you have tried NPH before, you should have an easier time adjusting.
Good luck on whatever insulin you decide to stick with.
