Thanks Carmen, I'll keep in mind, feels good to have choices. My son has been on NPH before (in the morning when he wasn't doing shots in school) and although his A1Cs were always good the fluctuations drove as all crazy. I still had the NPH in the fridge so I thought I give it a try.
The doctor called me today and although she doesn't agree with my decision to take him off of Lantus, she said she will give me any support I need switching to NPH. That was nice.
Deep breath! I hope I'm doing the right thing.
