If I understand correctly, it is only Lantus (or Lantus-type long-acting insulins) in question? The fast-acting Novolog isn't under suspicion?

So worst-case scenario is a person would drop the Lantus and go back to something like the older "N" synthetic human insulin and inject twice a day because it only has a 12-hour duration?

Was the 24-hour duration the only advantage with Lantus? I'm not bothered by the extra injection.
