They kill us and we pay for it

Insulin analogues are priced at a premium of 100% compared to old human insulin. In a forthcoming large independent long-term UK study the data confirm that the long-acting insulin analogue Lantus is associated with an increased risk of cancer.

In terms of short-acting insulin analogues like Novolog, try to look at the data provided within Novolog's own package insert comparing HbA1c levels and number of hypos up against human insulin. You find it in the table on page 6 in the package insert attached below. Do you see the difference? Do you understand why are we paying a 100% premium? It is right there in the label for anyone to see.

Two years ago, Germany with a population of 82 million people would not put up with it anymore. They refused to reimburse insulin analogues. That is not going to happen in the US. The insulin lobby is too strong and too well funded.

They are laughing at us right up in our face. They are confident that we will never mobilize and fight back. After all, that has not happened for more than 80 years. Why would that change now? Just because it becomes apparent that they kill us and that we pay for it ourselves.
