The sad and hard reality is that you have many diabetics today that cannot afford bg test strips costing 1$ a piece and more that cannot afford to test with bg test strips frequently enough to get proper control. So why are they still so expensive? And more sad news, you have many diabetics that cannot afford getting the insulin at all which they need. So the question is how is the price really determined as some clearly are indeed left to die?
I see it no different with the islet cells costing 100k a shot, some of us will be left to see the meteor while still shooting up. (Thank you Edward T, at least we still have some humour left ;o)
That some on this forum think they are better because they consider their own lobbying of more importance than what they dont even know what other people do for the cause is simply ignorant. And to say nobody is allowed to complain or whine or..., is simply wrong. Lobbying is also a kind of complaining. Considering our dire situation and the fatal destinies behind each voice, I respect them all.
