You guys are crazy. This is the closest we've ever been to a cure for T1, and you're worried that you won't be able to afford it? Why not do something about that, like lobby your government/health insurance company to cover it, or petition the JDRF to set aside funding to help diabetics get this treatment, instead of waxing philosophic about meteors?
Now that's a constructive idea! To answer your question, I have to believe that some people find complaining to be therapeutic, while expecting others to do all the heavy lifting.
This isn't a job for OTHERS - it's a job for US.
