It took 40 years for computers to become "affordable". I'm 53 now, so yippee. I can afford to be cured on my 93rd birthday.
Sue is right. There aren't enough millionaires with diabetes to grow this business. I'm afraid this will be another of the long research projects that vanishes when it's time to deliver because it won't be cost-effective.
Even as a diabetic myself, I'd choose buying a house for my family over a treatment that might not be permanent.
So it happens again. The end of another "5 years to the cure" and my hope has fizzled.
I won't have to worry about it; the big asteroid is gonna whack us in 2036 anyway. I'll be watching for it with a chocolate shake and 20 units of Novolog.
