I wouldn't be so sure about that. The bottom line.."this is a business". Investors invest to make money. Type I is not a "HUGE" disease in numbers when you compare it to heart disease, cancer etc...
I don't see how the price can drastically come down to keep the business running. It it probably very expensive to breed these pigs and run the facilities etc...
Cost has always been my main concern about this treatment. And, its a very valid one.
