Dear Sir, I am the mother of a 9 year old boy Addison, who was diagnosed less than a year ago with thype 1 diabetes. This past year certainly has been the biggest and most difficult challenge of our lives and tho Addison has endured and learned how to cope with his disease pretty darn well for a child it is still unfair and very scarey to think that this might be for the rest of his life. We as a family try to do all that we can to raise money and support in any way the research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Our dream and hope is that it will be soon and forsure in Addison's lifetime. There are to many children and adults who live and have to deal with the ups and downs of this life consuming disease each day. Please, as a mother I would do anything to take this away from my son but since I am very limited in what I can do I am saking you to please continue the Islet Research so the day will come when I can say "son there is a cure for type 1 diabetes now and you will be free of this disease.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you and so many other's are doing to further research to find a cure.
