Dear Sir, I am a mother of a 9 year old son who was diagnosed last Nov. 07 at the age of 8 with type 1 diabetes. Since that day in Nov. our lives have made a 100% change. Addison rolls with it all alot of the time but he is only 9 and no child should have to face the "Forever" of having this disease. As a mother I would do anything to take it away, but I know that the most effective way I can help my son is by doing as much as I can to raise the $$ for research to be done and support every effort in every way for those who are looking for a cure. I thank you and all others who are in this process of hopefully finding a cure for my son and all the other children and adults who live the daily life af diabetes. Please don't give up on the Islet research as it means the world for a cure to have our son diabetes free.
