This is AWESOME news! Why it is not front page news I do not know. The only thing I can think of is that the lay public has heard of so many "cures" that never materialize that this doesn't jump out as anything special.
I remember my high school boyfriend calling me frantically telling me that I had to get to Edmonton..."they have cured diabetes!". We all know that story....
All I can say is sign me up! Prof. Elliot, if you read this, I will willingly volunteer. I am very tiny and have very low insulin requirements, non-smoker, no complications, and I am willing to pay for my own airfare and any costs. I want to help myself and bring this to the masses ASAP. Let's get the ball rolling on this.
