Of all your points, this one about your not liking your parents procreating to have you if they were at increased risk to have a child with diabetes is the dumbest point. None of us have any say in our circumstance at birth. One of my brothers was insistent for years that he would have prefered to not have been born than have ANY siblings
(keep in mind since he isn't the oldest he never was an only). As a side note, he outgrew this in his early 20's and now will be the first to say his week isn't complete without going out and doing something with at least one of us, and generally talks to one of us close to daily. How would parents know if a future child wishes to be an "only" or live with a greater risk for this or that condition? Personally, I love life and am very glad my parents took the risk. I "lost" and have diabetes, but I still love living, and that is the only way I can be... until a cure (which I might or might not see)
