This information is common knowledge which you can find all over the internet or in any medical library, though patient-oriented diabetes organizations love to lie or suppress information for the patients' benefit. Type 1 males have a 7% chance of having diabetic children; type 1 females have a 4% chance of having diabetic children. Since the usual rate of diabetes in the first world population is one in 300 (this varies from a high in Denmark to a low in Spain), it is easy to calculate from this that the chance of a diabetic male passing on the disease is about 20 times greater than normal, and a female 12 times greater than normal.

A good place to confirm these statistics is the PubMed website of medical journal abstracts. Since this is essentially a site for doctors to talk to other doctors, the truth is not sweetened up to keep the patients in line.
