Any recognition of long lived, and particularly complication free, T1's suits me fine.
I don't have T1, but as my 16 yo daughter has had since she was 3 years old, anything that gives me hope that she will live a long and healthy life is good.
I appreciate that it may have nothing to do with how she manages her diabetes, but just the possibility that she may 'live long and prosper' helps me sleep at night.
