I emailed them and got a reply. The procedure to get the device appears pretty much the same as with other similar devices: you have to go to a special doctor and get a prescription.


Their reply:
"Thank you for your interest in DexCom, Inc and our STS Continuous
Glucose Monitoring System.

The DexCom STS System is a prescription device indicated for people with
diabetes 18 years old and older.

Our sales force is currently training Endocrinologist sites throughout
the US. Once a site has been trained on the product, DexCom Customer
Service can accept your prescription.

Please contact your physician's office regarding training and
prescription availability. If you'd like to give me your physician's
contact information (address and phone number), I will forward it to our
area representative."
