This is nothing new. They have been able to do this for a long time. same as a liver transplant, kidney transplant, and so on. The mentioned previously, it is the immunosupresant drugs that the patient must take for the rest of life that is the real issue.
Came accros a web site that claimed they are working on encapsulationg the cells in a protective barier that allows normal function while denying the white blood cells from attacking. This would be the key.
