Hey Dave, I think this question has pretty much been answered, but I just wanted to respond.
The problem with the inital BCG investigations were that improper dosing techniques (i.e. single administration, too small amounts, too short duration of therapy etc.) were used.
It's been equated to not being able to wipe out an infection using antibiotics that are too weak and/or only given for a short period of time.
Either way, we should know fairly soon...
