Insulin shots are the least objectionable part of diabetes. It is the finger pricking that hurts the most and the constant worry about the unpredictability of the disease. Inhaled insulin will just add to the unpredictability of treatment The development of Inhaled insulin was just a squandering of funds that could have been allocated to more beneficial research.
Give me a non-invasive continuous blood glucose meter, an annual shot of encapsulated islets to reduce my insulin needs and I would be better off.
