And sometimes **** happens even if you do everything right. Night before last I tested my son at 3:30am, then went to bed. He was 110 and he always slowly creeps up in the early AM hours, so I expected him to wake up around 150-165.

At 7:30 the phone started ringing and woke up the kids. My son called my daughter for help and he was 40.

Did everything right. Diligent, viligent, careful. And still **** happened. If it weren't for that phone waking him up right then, who knows what would've happened.

A good continuous glucose monitor would begin saving lives on the very day it was available. Somebody needs to kick the FDA in the butt on this one.
